Chinese ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ji Ping donated equipment to combat the coronavirus pandemic worth 7,700 euro to the city of Mostar in March 2021.
China donated six new military unloading trucks, two tank tractors with a low semi-trailer, two trucks with a loading crane, three backhoe loaders and one bulldozer and a compact loader, all with spare parts to the Bosnian military, worth 1.27 million euros.
China donated 50,000 COVID-19 vaccines produced by Sinopharm, which were delivered to Bosnia and Herzegovina in late-April 2021.
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, finished a project to modernise the Rasputnica G - Rakovica - Resnik section of the Belgrade-Nis railway line. The project, with a total value of 23.7 million euro, was financed through a 95-million-euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, EBRD.

In April 2016, China's Hebei Iron & Steel Group signed a 46-million-euro agreement to buy Serbia’s Zelezara Smederevo steel plant. The agreement was signed by Hebei Chairman Yu Yong at ceremony attended by the Serbian President (at that time Prime Minister) Aleksandar Vucic and hundreds of workers and dignitaries, which ended with fireworks. The steel mill has drawn criticism from citizens of Smederevo over its effects on the environment.
China donated 23 school buses to North Macedonia, made by the Chinese company Yutong, and delivered them in November 2011.
