China Sinopharm International Corporation signed a deal with Republika Srpska's Health Minister Alen Seranic to construct a hospital in Doboj, in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb-led entity, in March 2019. Work started in December 2020. The first phase was completed in September 2021. The project should be finished by the end of 2022.
China donated six new military unloading trucks, two tank tractors with a low semi-trailer, two trucks with a loading crane, three backhoe loaders and one bulldozer and a compact loader, all with spare parts to the Bosnian military, worth 1.27 million euros.

The Kolasin-Kos rail modernization program on the Belgrade-Bar line in Montenegro is funded by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In 2015, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) won the construction tender. The project was finished in December 2017. Financing of other phases of Belgrade-Bar railway reconstruction remains a strong concern.
